Aviation Week has an interesting article on French MilSpace ambitions this week. Aside from the general desire of the  French military establishment to militarise a number of civil EU space programmes there were some interesting asides regarding their desire to have a military service from Galileo.

Col. Yves Blin, “head of the space office” within the French general staff is quoted (on the subject of Mil use of Galileo) as saying “If Europe can’t work together on a relatively low-sensitivity program like Galileo, how can it cooperate on milspace?”.
